please read the sign people! and listen!
people should really respect the staff and don't gripe at us when we give you the information you need. and please, learn how to look for things by yourself!
just deal and don't yell!

now what?
i'm debating what to do with this blog now that i'm finished with the 23 things. i figure i'll go ahead and keep updating, i just don't know what about or when. i do have some ideas.
1.)book reviews- pretty self explanatory. probably a mix of old stuff that i'm reading, series, and new stuff.
2.)website reviews- again, self explanatory. i'm thinking of also starting a delicious account to store a list of links.
3.)random thoughts about being a librarian and libraries in general.
4.)and yes, i will talk about customers. this will include rants and how people can be lazy and don't want to look and are blind. believe me, there's been more than once when a person can't find the book they're looking for and make us find it or can't read signs. you're in a library- READ!!!!!!!!!!
i think that will keep me busy for awhile.

is that all?
i totally don't know if i did all 23 of the 23 things, but that's okay. i at least tried and i'm a little more informed. it's all pretty much a learning experience anyway. there were definately some things i didn't really like or get the point of or even the point of doing other than to know it's there and i probably won't use them anymore. but, i guess it's good to know i tried and have used it if anyone ever asks.
i'm also slightly addicted to ning and flickr sudoku.
well, it's been a great experience and i hope i can use some things for future jobs and in future libraries that i may be in.

#19- google docs
this one was okay. i wasn't truly impressed. not yet anyway. i might be if i play around with it some more. i think it could possibly be a useful too.
#7- rss feed
personally, i still don't get it. it's probably just me. but, i seriously just don't get this one. i think i'll just have to keep learning.
#4- flickr mashups
finally got to the speller! yay! here;s me:
here's the link, too. hope it works. http://metaatem.net/words/courtney
sudoku mashups sound really fun! this would be a great game to play with kids or for those who are just learning how to use the internet and/or computer. matching up pictures would probably be a lot easier than the numbers because it's visual. it also teaches mouse coordination.

#2-learning about 2.0
this was really interesting because i learned a lot about what 2.0 is and i seriously thought evite was 2.0. guess, as hurley said, my theory is wrong.
but, i did get to know better what all 2.0 is and how to use it better.
i could definately see using all these things in a library setting. i like using podcasts for storytimes and interviews. also, blogging would be great because you can talk about different events, books, movies, and more and link to reviews, guides, and more related to your subject.
so far, everything's been pretty fun!

above is the link for a fun pic i created.
some of the flickr things are really fun. i couldn't get to the spelling my name bit though. i did have fun any warholizing my one pic. i think i may have to do that for a friend for a gift.

#21- podcasts
i love podcasts! yay! i've actually had to limit the amount i'm subscribed to because i don't have enough time to listen to everything i have.
podcast alley is a great resource to find podcasts that will cater to your interests.
i briefly listened to a podcast about vampires. i got the link from the boulder library teen site. it wasn't the best quality. i didn't get to listen to too much, but i might later.
i'm definately going to check out some more and maybe subscribe.

#17- libworm
this was kind of a fun site. i even found some podcasts which, since i haven't done that one yet, i can listen to later.
some of the information was pretty cool. i don't know if i would use this on a regular basis, but i may. i'll play around with it more and see.

#15- digg
okay, when the first post is great nude scenes, i'm really not that intersted in the site. and that just really turned me off to digg.
i looked around a little bit, and it's really hard to use. at least to me. it just seems.... messy.
personally, i just really don't like this site.

#11- im
i've done im'ing off and on for years. okay, like a decade. scary. especially since that's just how long i've been out of high school.
im'ing is usually pretty cool. it's a great real time way to talk with others.
i think this is something that would be useful for a reference desk because you can't always understand what people are saying. if they speel things out, even if wrong, at least you can understand what they're asking for. plus, it's a great way to help people do something on their own, mostly because they have to, even if you're showing them the steps.
